ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS GLENVILLE STATE UNIVERSITY RFB GSU 25-003 LBH LOUIS BENNETT HALL PARTIAL DEMOLITION McKINLEY ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING Notice is hereby given that Glenville State University will receive sealed bids for the LOUIS BENNETT HALL PARTIAL DEMOLITION project, located at 200 High Street, Glenville, West Virginia. The project involves the partial demolition of circa 1935 building with exterior improvements to remaining exposed facades and immediate site as a result of demolition. Abatement is included in Work of the Project. Concrete, gypsum board assemblies, steel framing, aluminum and steel railing systems, metal and EPDM roofing, fiber cement panels, CMU, cast stone, and brick masonry systems, electrical power, lighting, access control and fire alarm systems, earthwork, site drainage, concrete and segmental retaining walls and other general construction are included as indicated in the Bidding Documents. The work of this bid package will be awarded as a single prime contract. Sealed bids will be received by Glenville State University on or before 1:00 pm local prevailing time on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025. Sealed bids may be delivered to Glenville State University, Attn: Clay Chesser, 200 High Street, Glenville, WV 26351. Bidders may also hand-deliver their sealed bids at bid opening prior to submission deadline. All sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the CTE room on the 4th Floor of Louis Bennett Hall located at 200 High Street, Glenville, West Virginia 26351. After opening, the bids will be compared as to quality, thoroughness, and cost by the Owner, and its Architect (McKinley Architecture and Engineering). All interested parties are encouraged to attend the bid opening. Any bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. Electronic Copies of the Bidding Documents will be available as early as, May 8th, 2025, from the office of the Architect, McKinley Architecture and Engineering, 1324 Chapline Street, Suite 400, Wheeling, WV 26003, telephone 304-233-0140; Bidding Documents are being issued in electronic format (PDF) only and will be sent by the Architect to interested parties via file transfer email download only, upon payment of a non-refundable document access fee of $100.00. Only full sets of the Bidding Documents will be issued by the Architect. With payment of the $100.00 document access fee, the interested party will also be listed by the Architect as a registered bidding document holder.
