RFP-26-002 Food Service on the NWACC Main Campus Question and Answer Question 1 Do you have an estimated number of students who eat on campus daily? This is helpful for budgeting purposes. I saw the total number of students but was wondering if you have any data for how many eat on campus. Answer 1 We do not have any data on this, but keep in mind it is not just our students, but also faculty and staff. We have approximately 645 faculty members and 342 staff. There is also an opportunity to cater for meetings and events on campus. Question 2 Clarification- May we bring and use some of our own equipment in the kitchen as necessary? Answer 2 It depends on what kind of equipment. We need to see if we have enough circuits available for equipment that requires electricity. Question 3 Is it possible to get a list of existing equipment in the kitchen currently? Answer 3 Following is a list of equipment in the Student Center kitchen: Back of House Equipment: ▪ Walk-in Freezer and Cooler ▪ Traulsen Side-by-Side Refrigerator and Freezer ▪ Captive-Aire System ▪ Wolf Griddle ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ Wolf Grill Keating Fryer – Has a shallow well. Southbend Six-Burner Gas Cooktop and Oven Conveyor Toaster/Pizza Oven Vulcan Double Oven Tilt Skillet Auto-Chlor Dishwasher Triple Sink Berkel Mixer Hobart Meat Slicer Front of the House Equipment: ▪ Gold Well Cold Unit with Sneeze Guard ▪ Counter Warming Unit ▪ Delfield – Freezer/Display/Buffet ▪ Self-Contained Frig Slad Top Tables ▪ Drop-In Hot Food Well Unit ▪ Traulsen Reach-In Fridge/Freezer Question 5 To clarify, do all applications have to be mailed in or is that just the deadline for applications that are mailed in? Answer 5 Yes, the bid response has to be mailed in and don’t forget to sign it. The RFP response must be received before 10:00 am on December 9th. Question 6 Are there students living on campus that would have a meal card, or is everything in the dining services going to be retail based? Answer 6 Everything in the Food Court is retail based as we do not offer any type of meal plan. Question 7 Would Northwest Arkansas Community College be interested in a Cost Plus/Management proposal? Answer 7 Not at this time. Question 8 If the answer to number 1 is yes, then it would be helpful to know how much is spent on catering and if NWACC would agree to a first right of refusal regarding catering? Answer 8 We do not have finalized numbers for catered events.
