DESIGN-BUILD REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS Athletic Field and Stadium Improvements Issuing Entity: Mount Airy City Schools Issue Date: October 1, 2026 Response Due Date: November 2, 2026 Mount Airy City Schools (MACS) is requesting submissions from qualified, experienced Design-Build Contracting Firms for services associated with the design, permitting, and construction activities necessary to provide "turnkey" improvements to certain athletic fields and the surrounding stadium. Note: The terms Consultant, Design-Build Firm, and Contractor are used interchangeably in this document, and each refers to the individuals or firms submitting responses to this RFQ. 1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF IMPROVEMENTS The improvements consist of: 1.​ The conversion of the grass field into a synthetic turf playing surface with suitable artificial turf and cooling infill system that meets the school district’s specifications. See attached Exhibit A. 2.​ Improvements to the running track and other surrounding areas as specified by the school district. See attached Exhibit A. 2. Please include the RFQ name in the subject line of the email correspondence. 4. SITE VISIT A site visit will occur on October 12, 2026, at 10:00 am. Interested firms should plan to attend the site visit. 5.
