Project: ●​ The City of Rutland Recreation and Parks Department applied and was awarded a Land Water Conservation Fund Grant through the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation. ●​ The project consists of an accessible trail through the lower trail system of Pine Hill Park and the lower field of Giorgetti Park. ●​ The accessible trail will provide a safe walking path for the community and users of Pine Hill. ●​ See attached map for trail design requirements and layout. ●​ All required permits have been acquired as part of this grant. ●​ Work on this project would begin in the spring of 2027. Project work has a deadline of August 31, 2028. Important Dates: Tuesday, August 25th at noon: Mandatory Site Meeting October 6th, 4 pm: Deadline for submitted RFP October 7th: Opening of RFP REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL​ City of Rutland, Vermont Pine Hill Park Accessible Trail Project The City of Rutland is requesting proposals (RFP) from qualified firms to complete an accessible trail in Pine Hill Park, 2 Oak St. Ext., Rutland City. VT 05701 as described in the attached Scope of Work. In order to be considered responsive to this request, each proposal will conform to the following requirements: ​ 1.​ Bid documents can be found at www.rutlandcity.org. Type in “Bids” in the Search bar located at the top right corner of the page. Responses may be submitted electronically or by Mail. ​ 2.​ Number all pages consecutively. ​ 3.​ Clearly indicate the following information on the outside of the sealed envelope or package containing the bid: ​ ​ ​ Name and address of the Contractor Due date and time Envelope contents (e.g., Proposal Sheet) Project name: Pine Hill Accessible Trail If any of the above requirements are not met, the proposal will not be considered. ​ Prior to beginning any work, the Contractor shall obtain Insurance Coverage.
