IFB: Courthouse Window and Storefront System Replacement

Description

Carteret County Government is accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the replacement of windows and storefront systems at the Carteret County Courthouse, located at 302 Courthouse Square in Beaufort. The project includes replacing approximately 154 existing windows, storefront doors, and multiple storefront and curtain-wall systems. Work includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, installation, finishing, and related services needed to complete the project. The Courthouse will remain occupied and operational during construction. Contractors must coordinate work with the County to maintain courthouse security, public access, and safe operations while minimizing disruptions. The project also includes temporary weather protection, debris removal, interior and exterior finishing, and final cleanup. The selected contractor will be responsible for field-verifying measurements, obtaining required permits, protecting existing building components, and completing all work in accordance with the bid documents. Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on October 19, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Courthouse, 302 Courthouse Square, Beaufort, NC 28516.
