Demolition and Removal of Nuisances

EXHIBIT D Checklist for bidding on Nuisance Properties Please initial beside each line to show contractors acknowledgement of each item on checklist. _____1. Walk the lot to know what is on the property (trash, foundations, downed trees, excess water.) _____2. All trash is to be removed and will go to the transfer station at the landfill. _____3. Remove any small trees eight inches (8”) or less in diameter. _____4. All downed trees to be removed. If over twelve inches (12”) please contact Enforcement Officer, before bidding, if there is an issue with the removal. _____5. If you do not have a bush hog, or access to one, give careful consideration to your bid. If not sure, DO NOT BID! _____6. All fences and fence lines are to be cleaned of weeds and vines. _____7. Weed eat around the base of all standing trees and/ or foundations/structures. _____8. Cut the right-of-way area next to the street (may be between the street and sidewalk) Blow all debris out of the street/sidewalk back onto the property. _____9. Cut off any low hanging branches on trees. _____10. Cut brush down to the ground. DO NOT leave any stubs that may puncture tires of the next contractor cutting that lot. IT MAY BE YOU. _____11. No brush piles to be left overnight, on lots. _____12. All work is to begin within 90 Days of receiving your awarded lots. If there are extenuating circumstances that prevent you from starting on time, it is your responsibility to notify the Enforcement Officer IMMEDIATELY. _____13. Before and after photographs are to be submitted, along with landfill receipts, with your invoice. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will prevent you from receiving future bid notices.
