23-08 Old Honeycutt Road / NC 55 Operational Improvements Project The Town of Fuquay-Varina is seeking bids for the Old Honeycutt Road / NC 55 Operational Improvements Project. The project consists of all labor, materials, and incidental items necessary to construct roadway and signal improvements at the intersection of Old Honeycutt Road (SR 2765) and NC 55. Work generally includes construction of an exclusive eastbound right-turn lane from Old Honeycutt Road onto southbound NC 55, traffic signal modifications to accommodate the new turn lane and protected eastbound left-turn movement, grading, pavement, drainage improvements, curb and gutter, sidewalk relocation, pavement markings, signage, site restoration, and all related appurtenances. Final Addendum Issued By: November 11, 2026, at 5:00 PM (available on the Town website). Bid Submission Deadline: November 16, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Bid Opening Location: Fuquay-Varina Town Hall Board Room, 134 North Main Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526. Instruction to Bidders: PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE PREPARING AND SUBMITTING YOUR BID. All bids shall be prepared and submitted in accordance with the following requirements. Failure to comply with any requirement may cause the bid to be considered irregular and may be grounds for rejection of the bid. TRADITIONAL PAPER BIDS: The bid form furnished with the proposal shall be used and shall not be altered in any manner. DO NOT SEPARATE THE BID FORM FROM THE PROPOSAL! Return the entire proposal with your bid. Enter required information on the cover page. The “Name of Bidder” and the “Address of Bidder” should be as it appears in the Directory of Firms found on the Department’s website. All entries on the itemized bid sheet (bid form) shall be written in ink or typed. The Bidder shall submit a unit price for every item on the itemized proposal sheet (bid form). The unit prices for the various contract items shall be written in figures.  Unit prices shall be rounded off by the Bidder to contain no more than FOUR decimal places. An amount bid shall be entered on the itemized proposal sheet (bid form) for every item. The amount bid for each item shall be determined by multiplying each unit cost bid by the quantity for that item, and shall be written in figures in the "Amount" column of the form.
