ADVERTISEMENT TO BID city of athens athens, ohio lift stations telemetry upgrade CONTRACT 1-2021 City of Athens (OWNER) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Lift Stations Telemetry Upgrade Contract 1-2021 Electronic proposals for the Project will be received by the City of Athens, Ohio, www.questcdn.com until 2 p.m., local time, on July 20, 2021, at which time the electronic proposals will be downloaded and read aloud at the City Building, 8 East Washington Street, Athens, OH 45701. Hard copy proposals will not be accepted by the City. The Project includes the following Work:  Replacing existing proprietary controllers with PLC panels and separating the Lift Station Telemetry System from the Water Telemetry System. The Issuing Office is Strand Associates, Inc.®, 910 West Wingra Drive, Madison, WI 53715. All Bidders submitting a sealed Bid shall obtain the Bidding Documents from QuestCDN.com. Bidders who submit a Bid must be a Plan Holder of record at the Issuing Office. Bids from Bidders who are not on the Plan Holders List may be returned as not being responsive. The Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the Bid or Bid security made payable to OWNER in an amount of 10% of the Bidder’s maximum Bid price. CONTRACTOR shall pay wages to each laborer and mechanic at a rate not less than the minimum wages specified in the current wage determination in accordance with the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act. Bidders shall comply with the President’s Executive Order No. 11246, Equal Employment Opportunity as amended. The City of Athens reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous.
