Washington County is requesting proposals from qualified organizations to provide workforce development training, certification, and ongoing support for culturally specific peer delivered services to residents of Washington County. The goal of this opportunity is to expand the peer delivered services that are offered in the county, and to build upon the service array that currently exists in our community while reaching underserved and at-risk populations. Services to Washington County residents provided through this NOFO are supported primarily through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.The Workforce Development for Culturally Specific Peer Delivered Services NOFO will focus on developing culturally specific peer delivered services throughout Washington County, with an emphasis on reaching underserved and at-risk communities, including but not limited to:AsianBlack/African AmericanHispanic and Spanish speakingLGBTQ+Older Adults (55+)This program will enhance the behavioral health workforce by providing culturally specific training and ongoing support to certified peers. All contracts are contingent on the availability of funds, continued need for the service relative to other community needs, and contract performance and compliance. Funds available for contracting in any given year may also change due to State Legislative action, funding priorities, or other system changes and will be finalized during the annual contract renewal process.This is only an application and responses are not binding. Washington County reserves the right to allocate funds based on methodology of how the county sees fit. Allocation will be determined based on evaluation scoring criteria and focus on identified communities of need.
