General work description: The City of Florissant Parks and Recreation Department is seeking qualified contractors to provide tree removal services within the Willow Creek Estates Subdivision. The project consists of the removal of designated trees, stump grinding, debris removal, and site restoration as specified herein.Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to complete the following:Removal of trees identified by the City within the Willow Creek Estates SubdivisionStump grinding to a minimum depth of 6–8 inches below gradeRemoval of surface rootsRemoval and lawful disposal of all debris, including logs, limbs, and wood chipsRestoration of disturbed areas, including backfilling with dirt to grade and seeding each areaTraffic and pedestrian control as needed for safe operationsA tree inventory list and address will be provided as part of the bid documents (see Appendix A).Contractor Requirements:Bidders must:Be licensed and insured to perform tree removal services in the State of MissouriProvide proof of insurance as outlined in the bid documents, and listing the City of Florissant as "additional insured"Demonstrate experience with municipal or large-scale tree removal projectsComply with all OSHA safety standardsGeneral Conditions: The contractor shall verify all site conditions prior to biddingAll work must comply with local, state, and federal regulationsThe contractor is responsible for utility locates prior to excavation (Missouri One Call)Work hours shall be coordinated with the CityThe City must approve all trees prior to removalTimeline: Work
