The request aims to secure an organization or individual to provide event planning and hosting services for the MSDH WIC Program statewide training initiative.The MSDH WIC Program received operational adjustment funding from USDA FNS to host the annual WIC Statewide training for WIC staff. The Program proposes statewide staff development training to address strategies to improve declining participation and enrollment, recruitment and retention efforts, training on value enhanced nutrition assessment (VENA), and improvements to the WIC participant (customer) experience. Approximately 250 staff members are expected to attend, including about 42 State Agency staff and 208 Local Agency staff.The selected contractor will assist with planning, hosting, and implementing statewide training activities.The proposed budget is $74,999.
