SECTION 01105 INVITATION FOR BIDS PROJECT: WECO Hwy 1 Median Landscape & Irrigation Improvements OWNER: City of West Columbia 200 N. 12th Street West Columbia, SC 29169 RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed bids for the construction of the above referenced project will be received by the Owner at their office, by May 18, 2026 @ 2:00 p.m.. local time, at place of bidding, City of West Columbia (Court Room), located at, 200 N. 12th Street, West Columbia, SC 29169, and at said location will be publicly opened and read aloud. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of ninety (90) days to allow time for Bid review, qualification of Bidder, and approval of award from funding agencies PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project consists of the landscaping and irrigation in existing SCDOT medians, along Hwy 1 from I-26 to Watting Road in West Columbia, SC. Prior experience, qualifications and product certification will be required. This project will be funded by the City of West Columbia. PRE-BID MEETING: A Mandatory Pre-bid meeting will be held at the City of West Columbia, located at, 200 N. 12th Street, West Columbia, SC 29169, (New Brookland Room) on April 29 , 2026 @ 10:00 a.m. The purpose of such meeting will be to review this project and to answer any questions regarding the project. Any Contractor that does not attend the pre-bid will be disqualified.
