STATEMENT OF PURPOSEThis RFQ (Request For Qualification) is a pre-qualification/pre-screening of General Contractors. NOTE: Participation in this RFQ is required in order to be invited to bid for construction. The High Service Pump Station (HSPS) at the George Kristoff Water Treatment Plant (WTP) requires rehabilitation. The HSPS is located at 400 North Harbor Blvd, West Sacramento, CA 95605. Qualified contractors/proposals will be eligible to submit bid proposals in response to the City’s subsequent Request for Bid Proposals (“RFP”)/Invitation To Bid(ITB) for the Project. The General Engineering Contractors must be appropriately licensed and registered in the State of California for engineering and construction services as needed to complete the Project. The required license is a Class A General Engineering Contractor’s License. In addition, Contactors must have completed construction of at least three (3) water treatment plant / lift stations within the last ten (10) years. The Contractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (“DIR”) as required by law. The selected Contractor will be required to comply with the Labor Code prevailing wage and shall be required to work cooperatively City staff, any technical consultants retained by the City for the Project, and the community, to facilitate timely and professional completion of the Project.
