Building upon previous qualitative and quantitative research conducted by the Park District, the survey will evaluate support for a potential operations and maintenance funding measure and identify the funding structure and investment priorities that are most likely to resonate with voters throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties. The survey will explore a draft 75-word ballot statement, multiple funding levels, alternative tax mechanisms, including parcel taxes, building square foot taxes, and other potential revenue structures related to the Park District's long-term operations and management responsibilities. The survey will also assess voter awareness, trust, perceptions of the Park District, priority investment areas, and support for specific operational and maintenance activities, including park maintenance, wildfire risk reduction, habitat restoration, climate resilience, public safety, accessibility improvements, and protection of natural resources.
