Vermont Street Alleys Sanitary Sewer Improvement

City of Anaheim (City) Public Works Department (PWD) is seeking a consultant to assist with the Vermont Street Alleys Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project. These proposed improvements will address the capacity and operational deficiencies under the existing conditions for the area shown in Exhibit “A”. The sewer systems were constructed with 6-inch minimum diameter instead of the City’s current minimum standard 8-inches in diameter. This old 6-inch pipe is experiencing significant maintenance problems such as offset joints and root intrusion and its improvement is a priority for the City. Implementation of this program will improve the overall performance, reduce maintenance costs, ensure capacity for future developments, and maintain the reliability of the sewer system. This program will also include improvements to the existing driveway approaches, sidewalks, curbs, curb & gutter, street, ADA access ramps, etc.
