Ustick Road, Black Cat Road, to Ten Mile Road

Description

Project will consist of widening Ustick Road, Black Cat Road to Ten Mile Road to five (5) lanes with continuous streetlighting and multi-use pathways with buffer on both sides of the roadway. The work includes roadway reconstruction, concrete and asphalt paving, and installation of curb, gutter, sidewalk, stormwater and irrigation pipes, seepage beds, irrigation box culverts, traffic signals, and temporary traffic control and pedestrian detours. The project will widen, pave with concrete, and signalize the Naomi Ave intersection, and expand the Ustick Road and Black Cat Road intersection to a 6x6 concrete intersection, and will replace the Eight Mile Lateral, Nine-mile Creek, and Rutledge Canal irrigation crossings. Project also includes municipal sewer and water utility upgrades for the City of Meridian. Special Note A: In the Plan Sheets, page 85 states the following: "Ustick Road to remain open to traffic at all times unless otherwise approved by ACHD. A minimum of the one travel lane in each direction shall be maintained at all times unless otherwise approved by ACHD. Travel Lanes to be 11 feet minimum." Special Note B: No work is to occur on Parcel #7 (parcel assessor ID #S1203223400) until ACHD has possession of the parcel, which is anticipated to occur on December 2, 2024.
