SORTA is seeking information from firms interested in participating in the upcoming award of a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract for the development of our upcoming Bus Rapid Transit service.The Reading Road Corridor Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project (Reading Road Corridor or the Project) represents an approximately $167 million investment in BRT infrastructure in metropolitan Cincinnati, Ohio.The planned Reading Road Corridor is an 9.2-mile BRT line connecting downtown Cincinnati to Cincinnati’s Roselawn neighborhood. The BRT line will run from Downtown to the Over-the-Rhine, Mt. Auburn, Clifton Heights-University Heights neighborhoods, and Cincinnati’s Uptown district. From Uptown it will proceed northeastward, serving the neighborhoods and business districts of Corryville, Avondale, North Avondale, Paddock Hills, Bond Hill, and Roselawn.Design for the Project is currently in progress; however, the construction scope is expected to include:Civil Package – Roadway Resurfacing, Drainage Improvements, Utility Relocations, Sidewalk, ADA Curb Ramps, Lighting, Pavement Markings;Construction of 13 BRT Stations with All Supporting Systems Elements; andTraffic Signal Modernizations.
