Unit #5 Combustion Turbine Exhaust Expansion Joint Replacement at the McIntosh Power Plant

The City of Lakeland seeks the services of a well-qualified and reputable Expansion Joint manufacturing and installation CONTRACTOR to design, manufacture, ship to site and install a Siemens Westinghouse (SW) 501G Gen 2, 3 and 4 Combustion Turbine Exhaust (Outlet) Expansion Joint for our Siemens 501G Combustion Turbine (CT), located at Unit #5 of McIntosh Power Plant in Lakeland, Florida. In addition, Bidders will be asked to propose solutions to historical thermal degradation of this expansion joint and the adjacent CT compartment/exhaust seal.Unit #5 SW 501G Combustion Turbine S/N: 24A3401-1 exhaust expansion joint was replaced in the Fall of 2020 and is due for replacement. The CT blanket insulation is scheduled to be replaced during the Fall Outage of 2024. The exhaust expansion joint of this specification must take into account the physical transitions from inside to outside of the CT enclosure, as well as mating to the CT Blanket Insulation system.
