Uniform Supply and Services - Bus & Paratransit Drivers

Description

The purpose of this RFP is to establish a Contract for the purchase of uniforms and career apparel to be used by BFT employees in their duties of operating buses and paratransit vehicles. BFT currently has approximately 238 Coach Operator and Dial-a-Ride drivers. Each driver is currently allotted ten (10) uniforms pieces a year. Uniforms are not only limited to BFT drivers, if other departments choose to approve orders to be placed for other BFT staff this is acceptable.The selected provider shall be required to measure employees and assist with order forms at the provider’s location. The Employee will then try on, verify items and sign receipt.  The provider will then bill BFT for items purchased by using the signed receipt and including the employee’s name.  All defective or incorrect size merchandise will be reviewed by the requesting employee; this includes but is not limited to items hemmed incorrectly, items sized incorrectly, wrong items provided, etc. BFT will have up to sixty (60) calendar days to return unaltered uniforms with no penalty and a credit shall be issued within fifteen (15) working days of the return of the items. Employee orders will be packaged individually for each employee and either shipped or hand delivered to BFT. All shipping pricing is to be FOB Destination freight prepaid and included.
