The work to be done consists of inspecting Districts 4 and 5 of the City of Hayward to identify tripping hazards caused by concrete sidewalk offsets between the heights of 1/2 inch to 1-1/2 inches, and removing the tripping hazards by grinding or saw cutting of the concrete sidewalk panel offsets, and doing all appurtenant work in place and ready for use. Each concrete sidewalk offset shall be tapered to an accurate 1:12 slope and shall have a smooth uniform appearance and texture. Work shall be performed in accordance with the American with Disabilities Act, all as described in these special specifications.
