Trauma System State Medical Director

Description

The State Trauma System Medical Director serves as the physician advisor for the State Trauma System and provides clinical leadership for the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the statewide trauma system. The Medical Director works collaboratively with the State Trauma Program, Trauma Advisory Committee, hospitals, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), public health partners, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated, evidence-based trauma system that improves patient outcomes across the state. This individual must be a practicing trauma surgeon licensed in Mississippi currently practicing in a trauma center.
