Traffic Counting Services Indefinite Quantity Contract(IDQ)

Description

The City of Norfolk (the “City”) Department of Public Transportation is seeking proposals from qualified professional firms licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia, to provide services on an as-required basis. The City intends to enter into an annual, renewable agreement with the firm selected to provide these services. Other related government organizations or agencies may be allowed to issue Work Orders under this Contract, as permitted by the City. The City will provide a scope of services for each specific request for services required under the Agreement. A request for services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:Field data collectionTurning movement countsAutomatic vehicle countsSpeed studiesPedestrian CountsBicycle CountsVehicle Classification StudiesAll traffic data submitted shall be in the Universal Traffic Data Format (UTDF) and will be submitted by paper copy and electronic media.Projects under this scope of services are expected to be completed within 45 days. For projects lasting longer than 45 days, the consultant and the Department of Transportation Project Manager will agree on the interval and the appropriate number of progress meetings. Your proposal should be complete in furnishing all miscellaneous services required to perform vehicular traffic counts.
