Town of Apex Public Safety Classification & Compensation Plan - RFP

Description

Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is to solicit proposals from qualified compensation and classification consultant firms (hereinafter referred to as “Consultant”) to evaluate and recommend updates to the classification and compensation structures applicable to the Town’s Police and Fire positions. This would include reviewing the town’s existing classification methodology, job descriptions, compensation structures, market position, pay practices, promotional differentials, specialty pay practices, and implementation procedures. The selected Consultant will provide recommendations that support recruitment, retention, internal equity, and effective administration of Police and Fire Compensation. Proposal Deadline: Must be received by the Town of Apex no later than October 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM EST. The electronic PDF version of the proposal (excluding non-electronic materials) must be submitted by the deadline above to  or may be included in the bid packet on digital media.
