Timetable Printing

Description

To provide RTD with printing of simple and complex timetables. Timetables are bus/rail schedules (listing route, times, and other important information related to RTD services) distributed on buses/rail vehicles and through various sales outlets and locations throughout RTD’s operating region. Timetables vary in size depending on the routes, service information, and other essential visual elements. Orders are generally placed three (3) times per year (for 3 defined service changes in January, May, and August) and will be supplemented (reorders) at any time in quantities of 1,000 to 65,000 per timetable.Vendor must be able to produce final printed products from Mac-based environment, using industry current versions of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Vendor must be capable of producing printed pieces from Adobe Acrobat files conforming to the PDFX1A printing standard. Vendor should be able to receive jobs through e-mail or FTP site depending on file size and job needs. Vendor will be responsible for taking electronic artwork and preparing it for reproduction; including but not limited to: trapping, adjustment of panels for proper folding, set-up of art for dies and for presses. Vendor must provide proofs for each job (unless otherwise indicated) prior to printing. The following is a list of accepted formats, other formats may be substituted as long as the quality will be indicative of the final job: High quality imposition proof, Epson color proof, digital match print, color paper proof for fold and trim. A 14 business-day turn-around is required on most orders; however, shorter and/or longer turn-around times may be needed. A press check must be provided by the vendor if requested by RTD.
