The City of Monterey, California Request for Proposals Public Restroom Level-of-Service Study and Recommendations

The City of Monterey (“City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals with experience in conducting municipal facilities level-of-service studies and providing actionable recommendations. The City is a charter city located in the County of Monterey.The City of Monterey currently provides significant public restroom facilities for the general public across the City with public restroom facilities in City buildings, waterfront areas including beaches, parks and park centers, parking lots and garages. One of the main objectives of this study is to determine whether there are sufficient public restroom facilities along the City’s waterfront and high traffic areas and to determine where to install new public restrooms if recommended.This public restroom project supports the Monterey City Council’s Value Driver of Quality of Life. In support of Quality of Life, one of the City’s strategic priorities is to “[foster’s] opportunities for the public to stay physically and mentally active through activities and services in our parks, trails, beaches, campgrounds, sport center, and community centers.”
