Technology Letter of Interest

Description

Contractor shall provide new, creative modes of technology and support for older adults throughout Washington County. Specifically, funds are designed to allow services that will alleviate the adverse effects of social isolation and any unique challenges with accessing critical social and health needs due to disability, lack of transportation or other barriers to access the community or technology. Contractor will be providing assistive technology related services and will ensure older adults are able to use technology to reduce difficulties and challenges associated with barriers to safe and accessible opportunities to connect to activities, services and people outside one’s home. Contractor will work with qualified individuals and community centers who do not have technology necessary to allow them to participate in secure, private conversations with their doctors, mental health counselors, family members, etc. Contractor will buy necessary equipment and accessories for participants and then provide training in their use so participants are able to connect with others outside their home via technology.
