03.02.2026 TECHNOLOGY BID SET SCOPE NARRATIVE: Bid all division 27 and 28 work included in these drawings and specifications with the exceptions of conduit and backbox installation. Include a breakout of various major systems such as AudioVisual Systems with subcategory for control devices by Extron or equal, Access Control, Surveillance, Paging, and Structured Cabling. FOR REFERENCE AUDIO-VISUAL SYSTEMS DESCRIPTIONS: Basic Classrooms (single wallplate): Rooms 152, 175 and 212 Basic Classrooms are designed for local presentation utilizing a centralized AV switcher and control system. Images from a single wall plate that has dual HDMI inputs will be sent to room projector(s) for local presentation on front projection screen(s). The AV switcher will include amplified audio out to ceiling mounted speakers for program audio within the room. The system will include twisted pair extension of the inputs from the wall plate to the centralized AV switcher as well as twisted pair extension from the AV switcher to the projector(s). The control system will include a wall mounted keypad for local control of the room. The keypad will allow for the following control functions: • System On o Turns on projector(s) o Lowers projector screen(s) (if applicable) o Routes Input 1 of the wall plate to the projector as the primary room source o Unmutes room audio • Volume Control o Room program Volume up/down o Room program audio mute/unmute • AV Switching o Switches audio and video in the room between inputs 1 and 2 on the dual HDMI wall plate • System Off o Turns off projector(s) o Raises projector screen (if applicable) o Mutes room audio Basic Classrooms (dual wall plate): Rooms 177, 238 and 240 Basic Classrooms are designed for local presentation utilizing a centralized AV switcher and control system. Images from one of two (2) wall plates will be sent to room projector(s) for local presentation on front projection screen(s). Each wall plate will have dual HDMI inputs. The AV switcher will include amplified audio out to ceiling mounted speakers for program audio within the room. The system will include twisted pair extension of the inputs from the wall plates to the centralized AV switcher as well as twisted pair extension from the AV switcher to the projector(s). The control system will include a wall mounted keypad for local control of the room.
