In the Written Specifications Section 4.0 (Materials), Subsection 4.1 (Rail) – indicates that the rail must be “head hardened” per Supplemental Condition S2. • Head hardened statement is removed from the requirements. 2. Can you please confirm that the use of Jacking Bolts can be used on all of the Typical Support Plates? Drawing S2, Rail Installation Detail shows a Leveling Nut being used. • Jacking bolts can be used 3. Drawing S2 indicates in the Plan View to review Crane Stop Detail on S3. Is this relevant for this project or No? • No. Not relevant to this project 4. For the Anchor Bolts, Drawing S2 indicates that the Anchor Rods will be Core Drilled. With that being said, we will submit with our quote the Ultrabond HS-1CC Anchor Gel (Data Sheet attached). • Ultrabond HS-1CC anchor gel is acceptable 5. For clarity, The drawing states that the rail is to be thermite welded but the specifications indicate that Thermite or Flash Welding are to be used. • Drawing note is revised for either Thermite or Flash Butt Welding 6. For epoxy grout, we would need a head box and an additional 3” of grout beneath the sole plate, 2” on 1 side for hydrostatic head pressure and 1” on the opposite side for air release. • Drawing detail is revised for epoxy grout installation Page 1 of 1
