The 22nd District Agricultural Association (hereinafter, "District") is releasing this RFP with the intent to award a single contract for Strategic Communications Services in support of District’s public affairs programs, comprehensive planning process and any subsequent proposals, response to crises and unforeseen events and issues, and other engagement efforts. District is seeking a qualified individual or firm to work collaboratively with District Leadership to build a beneficial relationship with the public and key stakeholders and to raise awareness about the organization. Services include, but are not limited to, strategic communications, media relations, community relations, internal communications, crisis communications, public affairs, online and social media communications to support District, particularly as it embarks on a master planning process. Services will not be related to the San Diego County Fair unless otherwise directed by District during the contract's term.District's board and staff have been actively engaged in a strategic planning process that has elaborated on its purpose, mission, vision, and organizational values in pursuit of ensuring a quality experience to guests and patrons of the District properties including the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Surf &Turf Recreation Center, and Del Mar Horsepark. Proposer is encouraged to elaborate on its alignment with the District’s strategic direction.Proposer should detail any plans to work with subcontractors to provide any services detailed in the Scope of Work.The contract term shall be for one (1) year with two (2), two-year options to renew, at the sole and absolute discretion of District. The initial contract term is anticipated to begin November 8, 2023 and run through November 7, 2024.
