The Stanislaus Council of Governments (StanCOG) is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified engineering firms or teams of firms to prepare plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) for improvements to State Route (SR) 132 from Needham Street east of State Route 99 in the City of Modesto to Gates Road\Paradise Road in unincorporated Stanislaus County.A contract will be awarded to provide such services according to task orders. The first task order will include the services described in Attachment A, Scope of Services, for Phase 2 of the SR 132 West project between Needham Street and Dakota Avenue. The selected consultant may be awarded follow-on engineering work by task order to prepare the PS&E for improvements to SR 132 between Dakota Avenue to Gates Road\Paradise Road.The ideal consultant hired in response to this RFP will have experience working with Caltrans on complex projects, be familiar with the complexities of the SR 132 project, and be able to offer thoughtful and innovative engineering suggestions to control costs, expedite project delivery, and minimize traffic impacts during construction.
