Leon County is seeking the services of a qualified contractor for the construction of the St. Mark's Headwater Greenway - Phase II Project. The proposed project consists of Paved passenger parking area, natural surface overflow parking, three 12x12 pavilions, one 20x28 large pavilion, informational kiosks, ev car charging stations, restroom building, landscaping, stormwater facility, 6 miles of 12’ nature trail, 600’ of elevated boardwalk and playground. This project will require the use of a crane. The Contractor or sub-contractor must be prequalified by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the work they are performing. The FDOT Prequalification Work Classes for this Project are Drainage, Electrical Work, Fencing, Flexible Paving, Grading, Landscaping, Minor Bridge, Pavement Markings, Roadway Signage, Sidewalk. Other Work Classes: Curbs, Driveways, Pile Driving, Rubble Riprap, Tree Removal, Tree Trimming, Underground Utilities (Water & Sewer), Underground Utilities (Electrical) & Utility Work. Prequalification documentation will be required prior to agreement execution.The project is anticipated to take 300 consecutive days.A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 10:00am in the Leon County Purchasing conference room. Immediately following the pre-bid meeting, there will be a mandatory site visit at the St. Mark's Headwaters Greenway, 640 Baum Road, Tallahassee, Fl 32317. Attendance at both the pre-bid and the site visit are mandatory to be eligible for bid award.The County intends to award this solicitation on the total price which includes the base bid plus Alternate A (see Attachment B). The County reserves the right to execute alternate in the best interest of the County.
