Spruce Creek Fly In Water Treatment Plant Improvements

Description

This project is for the construction of the Spruce Creek Fly-In Water Treatment Plant Improvements consisting of the installation of new motor control centers (MCCs) for the water treatment plant, construction of a building extension for housing the MCCs, replacement of an existing high service pump, and installation of Reverse Osmosis (RO) pretreatment piping, valves, and instrument modifications. This project includes all equipment, piping, fittings, valves, electrical, controls, instrumentation, and miscellaneous appurtenances specified and shown in the Contract Documents, necessary for system control and operation, hereafter termed “facilities”. The “Contract Documents” shall consist of the County of Volusia Invitation for Bid, the Technical Specifications, and Construction Plans”.“Work” shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction and start-up / testing of the facilities. Materials with NSF approval shall be provided where directly or indirectly in contact with raw, intermediate treated, and final potable water.The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, and means of construction necessary for proper performance and completion the work. The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all required permits not specifically set forth in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall perform and complete the work in the manner best calculated to promote rapid construction consistent with safety of life and property and to the satisfaction of the Owner, and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents.
