Special Magistrate Services for Code Compliance

Description

The City of New Smyrna Beach (herein after, “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced individuals or firms for Project Title.  It is the intent of the City to promote, protect and improve the health, safety and welfare of its citizens by appointing a Code Compliance Special Magistrate with the authority to affirm or overturn administrative fines and other non-criminal penalties pursuant to civil citations issued by law enforcements and/or code compliance officers and/or the building official in order to provide an equitable, expeditious, effective and inexpensive method of enforcing the codes and ordinances of the City.If an award is made it shall be made to the best overall proposer(s) whose proposal is most advantageous to the City, taking into consideration the evaluation factors set forth in this document. The City shall not use any other factors or criteria in the evaluation of the proposals received.
