The City of West Sacramento is committed to fostering fairness, justice, and inclusivity in its capital improvement projects. To achieve this goal, the City seeks proposals from qualified individuals or firms (“Consultant”) to develop, deliver, and facilitate a comprehensive Social Equity Training program.The training program will equip project managers with the knowledge and tools necessary to integrate social equity principles into every stage of project planning, development, and implementation. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of social equity and its relevance to capital improvement projects.The City has established a Social Equity Awareness Form (see Attachment A) to ensure that Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects support equal opportunity across the community. Project managers will use this form to assess a proposed project’s anticipated social equity impacts related to the City Council’s Strategic Plan Principle of “Effectuating equitable investment and social/environmental justice in the City,” aiming to reduce and eliminate social equity disparities and inequities.
