Sludge Cake Removal Services

Description

The purpose of this bid, and the requirement contract is to provide removal, transportation, and disposal of sludge cake produced by the Southerly and Westerly Wastewater Treatment Centers (WWTCs) owned and operated by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, herein referred to as the “District”. This contract will be awarded in its entirety to one (1) bidder. Southerly WWTC’s primary method of disposal for sludge cake is incineration, however in certain instances (cleaning of cake feed pumps, cessation of incineration, or emergency situations, etc.) sludge cake will still require removal, transportation, and disposal. The contractor can expect to remove, transport, and dispose of approximately 2,460 tons of sludge cake (117 truckloads) over the term of the contract for Southerly WWTC.Westerly WWTC produces sludge cake that will require removal, transportation, and disposal approximately twice per day/seven days a week. The contractor can expect to remove, transport, and dispose of approximately 32,040 tons of sludge cake (1,602 truckloads) over the term of the contract for Westerly WWTC.The Contractor shall be responsible for all permits, fees, tests, inspections, certifications, and applicable requirements relative to the execution of the work specified herein. The Contractor will be paid the flat rate per truck load for removal and transportation. The rate will be used regardless of weight of loaded trailer.
