Chartiers-Houston High School Senior Parking Spaces Painting 2026-2027 Parking Space Guidelines – Parking designs must be approved prior to painting. The process: 1. Read the guidelines outlined in this document carefully. 2. Submit a copy or drawing of your design with your parking application. Once your design has been reviewed, you will receive an email (via school email) notifying you of approval, or if any changes need to be made. 3. You will need to purchase your paint (specific guidelines are below) and attend one of the painting days to complete your painting. You are only permitted to paint on the scheduled painting days of July 28 and August 5 from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Paint Requirements: ● Water-based interior/exterior paint. *Exterior will be more durable. ● NO oil-based paint of any kind. ● NO spray paint, reflective paint, glitter, or fluorescent paint. ● NO clear coat. ● Consider sharing the cost of paint with others. ● Limit your paint colors for cost effectiveness. ● NO “raised paint” The Details: ● Senior designs must be submitted in color and must represent what will be painted on your parking space – Due by the end of the day on July 22. ● Space design is allowed for single spaces only. Designs cannot cross over to multiple spots. ● Paint cannot be applied to any parking lot lines or spaces. ● A minimum of an inch of blacktop between your painted design and the parking space lines must remain. The following are prohibited: ● Offensive language, pictures, and/or symbols. ● Negative or rude language ● Double entendre (words or phrases that are open to two interpretations or meanings, one of which is usually indecent). ● Political, activist, or religious views. ● Reference to drugs, alcohol, or violence. ● Any design that is deemed inappropriate or unacceptable by the administration and/or senior class advisor. *If a student withdraws from Chartiers-Houston or is removed from school due to disciplinary actions during the school year, the student parking space will be revoked and the space will be painted over with black water-based paint. Suggestions for Fabulous Designs: ● Keep it classy! ● You may include your name, your initials, your jersey number, hobby, quote, etc. that are unique to you and your personality. ● Make it fun, but simple. ● Use larger text, pictures, etc. Too many details can be difficult to paint in the time frame allotted and could be difficult to read/see.
