LOCKER ROOM AND RESTROOM FLOOR COATING THE MIKE DANIEL RECREATION CENTER 1220 LAFAYETTE PARKWAY LAGRANGE, GA 30241 Scope of Work The men’s area is approximately 635 square feet. The Women’s area is approximately 670 square feet. - Remove all toilets and partitions and store. - Mechanically remove the existing coating and 4” cove base. - Cut 1” x 1” keyways around the perimeter of areas and next to all drains. This strengthens the edges to prevent failure. - Waterproof the drains and shower pans with latex sealant. - Saw cut control joints and cracks and prepare them to receive a 2 component polyurea joint filler. - Vacuum the prepared substrate and install blue painters’ tape to protect areas that will not receive coating at that time. - Repair voids and holes on the concrete with Pumadur urethane cement per manufacturer’s specifications. - Install 4” cove base using Micor DL and 1882 Topcoat. - Install Urethane Cement @ 1/8” thickness with quartz aggregate for slip resistance. Broadcast to rejection to achieve a nonskid surface. - Once cured, vacuum excess sand and buff substrate to take care of any imperfections. - Apply Micor DL Epoxy and broadcast color quartz to rejection to achieve a nonskid surface. - Recut joints and fill them with a 2-part polyurea per manufacturer’s specifications. Install with a plural component pump. - Install grout coat with Micor DL and broadcast color quartz to rejection. - Topcoat with Micor 1882 Epoxy. - Clean up work area. - Reinstall toilets and partitions.
