Description

The City of Santa Monica’s Water Resources Division (referred to hereafter as “the City”) is inviting proposals from qualified persons or firms interested in providing select high-availability supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) network and server infrastructure upgrades, along with associated secure configuration to meet the latest National Standards of Industry and Technology (NIST) standards for critical infrastructure. The City is specifically planning to replace several of its Ethernet and fiber optic network switches, the SCADA server infrastructure on which process equipment monitoring and control applications run, and all required software and licenses to operate these information technology (IT) devices. Additionally, the successful proposer shall provide a plan for network and server redundancy, with local site application failover in the event of a severed connection to the City’s Water Resources central application server. Each proposer shall submit their plan to meet the needs outlined in this RFP, and quote the required professional services to implement the proposed switch, server, software, and configuration, thus providing a highly-available solution that meets the aforementioned cybersecurity standards.
