Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation

Description

The project as more fully described in the attached plans, includes rehabilitation, with trenchless technology, three categories of sanitary sewer infrastructure: gravity sewer pipelines [sizes 6” through 12”], 4-foot diameter manholes, and service laterals [sizes 4” and 6”]. Rehabilitation shall include furnishing and installing an interior protective coating system to provide a waterproof, corrosion resistant liner to prevent any deterioration from hydrogen sulfide and other corrosive gases or acids produced by wastewater. Up to three separate contractors may be awarded, one for each aforementioned category of work.Gravity Pipelines shall be lined using cured-in-place pipe method. Preference is for 100% epoxy resin, or approved equal.Manholes shall be lined with geopolymer epoxy lining material with products supplied by one of the following: Engineered Spray Solutions, SpectraShield, or approved equal.Service laterals shall be lined using a cured-in-place pipe method to provide for the structural re-construction of lateral pipes within the roadway right-of-way, without excavation, using a pressure apparatus positioned within the main pipeline.Contract(s) will be for one (1) year with an option to extend three additional one-year periods. Price escalation/de-escalation will be permitted at the end of each one-year term, upon mutual agreement in writing prior to the end of contract term based on the latest Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers, All Items or Construction Cost Index by Engineering News Record, whichever is less.Annual budget for Year 1 is $280,000, with anticipated funding for additional years between $200,000 and $700,000 subject to annual budget approval and grant funding availability. Annual work assignments shall be completed during a single mobilization each year.
