Sanitary Sewer Lateral Lining Pilot Program, Section 23-00675-00-SA

Description

This project consists of cleaning and televising sanitary sewer laterals and rehabilitation of laterals by the installation of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP).  For each lateral, the cleaning and televising will result in a recommended scope of improvements, which could include: (1) no improvements needed, (2) point repairs (by others), (3) rehabilitation with cured-in-place (CIPP), or (4) removal and replacement of a pipe segment (by others).  The Contractor shall be a partner with the City in public education and engagement.The limits of cleaning and televising for each sanitary sewer lateral shall be from the public sewer to an ending point that is located no more than five (5) feet outside of the exterior building face.  It is the intention of the City that existing access points (whether exterior or interior to the building) for sanitary sewer laterals should be utilized when possible, rather than installing new exterior cleanouts.  The Engineer will obtain an access agreement with each property owner before any work is performed on that property.  Once an access agreement has been obtained, the Contractor shall coordinate with the property owner to access their property, as required to complete the work.
