Sand and Rock Material as needed for Parks

Description

The City of Palo Alto is looking for multiple vendors to fulfill the City’s need for the Purchase and Delivery of sand, compost, top dressing mix, baseball infield mix, and decomposed granite on an as needed basis. The material quantities are estimated and may significantly differ from the bid quantities. A blanket purchase order will be issued upon determination of lowest bidder for a one (1) year term. With (2) 1-year optional periods. Price will be firm for the initial term and each optional 1- year term pricing noted in this Request for Quotation on year’s 2 & 3.Prices shall include all applicable fees, transportation, delivery/freight charges, fuel charges, environmental fees, and all other incidentals necessary to perform the requirements of this RFQ. No additional fees shall be added.The City will consider annual price adjustments to specific products or in the aggregate based on factors such as changes in the Consumer Price Index or similar pertinent indices, economic climate, and market conditions. Pricing adjustments must be requested at least 120 days prior to the expiration of the contract term then in place and must include manufacturer-provided written justification for requesting an increase on affected line items, subject to acceptance by the City. In no event shall any annual increase exceed 5%.
