Ballard Construc on Company (SBBCC) and Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates (CRA) are pleased to submit our solicited proposal of qualifica ons under the Public-Private Educa on Facili es and Infrastructure Act of 2002 (PPEA) to Fredericksburg City Public Schools (FCPS) for the construc on of a New Middle School. We have received and reviewed the RFQ, and the Addendum #1, dated September 1, 2021. Our proposal includes construc ng the new Middle School on the Idlewild site currently owned by City of Fredericksburg and is designed to support FCPS “Forward and Upward, LEADING @ The Speed of Change” philosophy while at the same me providing equity of learning opportuni es for all students. We propose using a design that encompasses the community’s needs and gives you the feel that it has always been a part of the Fredericksburg Community. We have assembled an energe c, diverse, and highly experienced team to plan, design, and construct the new Middle School. As the Design-Builder, S.B. Ballard Construc on Company (SBBCC), will be responsible for the design and construc on and overall execu on of the project. SBBCC will lead the consor um of required design and construc on firms and will provide overall direc on and management of the project. CRA, Design Architect, will lead the design efforts and work directly with Draper Aden and Associates, Design Civil Engineer, CMTA, Design Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineer, and Lynch Mykins, Structural Engineer, to develop a comprehensive and unique design that meets FCPS needs Our team’s regional experience in K-12 educa onal facility design and construc on coupled with our design-build PPEA delivery experience is unmatched.
