RFQ S20241 BART Silicon Valley Phase II Extension Program / Stations Contract

Description

 VTA intends to award a Design-Build (“DB”) contract for the design and construction of all components of the stations required under Contract Package 4 (the “Stations Project”). VTA’s intended DB approach will use a Best Value method as described by DBIA in Section 3.0 of this RFQ.VTA will review and score the SOQs to determine which Respondents are best suited and qualified to successfully execute the design and construction of the Project. A Short-List of up to four (4) of the highest-ranked Respondents will be created, each of which will be invited to submit proposals in response to VTA’s forthcoming Request for Proposals (RFP). Respondents that are not included on the Short-List will not be allowed to submit proposals.Contract Package 4 Stations ("Project") consists of three underground stations intercepting the tunnel alignment which begins at the terminus of the BART Silicon Valley Phase I (“BSVI”) project, south of Mabury Road in the City of San Jose. Continuing in an at-grade configuration, the alignment will then descend into a tunnel curving below U.S. 101, arriving at 28th Street/Little Portugal Station, before aligning under the main thoroughfare of Santa Clara Street to the Downtown San Jose Station (DTSJ) and the Diridon Station at the Diridon Intermodal Transit Center across from SAP Center in (the heart of downtown) San Jose.
