RFQ - Rock Creek Road at Rock Creek Bridge – Engineering Design Services

The County of Nevada is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from engineering firms with appropriate professional registration to provide Bridge Engineering Design Services for the Highway Bridge Program (HBP) funded Rock Creek Road at Rock Creek Bridge project. The existing Rock Creek Road at Rock Creek Bridge (17C0057) is a single lane load restricted steel girder/timber deck bridge built in 1920. The bridge has tall vertical abutments that constrict the flow of Rock Creek. The County desires to replace the bridge with a longer single span two lane bridge and avoid constructing new abutments in the creek if possible. No detour or extended closure of the road is permissible during construction. The design work shall evaluate alternatives, for example, constructing the new bridge adjacent to the existing bridge, or constructing a temporary bridge so that the existing alignment can be used for the new bridge.
