NOTICE TO DESIGN-BUILD FIRMSREQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND PROPOSALS COURT STREET AND STATE STREET INTERSECTION RESTORATION PROJECT PROJECT NO. 398 The City of Athens, Ohio is requesting Statements of Qualifications and Proposals from qualified Design-Build Firms for the Court Street and State Street Intersection Restoration Project. The project consists of design and construction services for the removal and replacement of sidewalks, curbs, curb ramps, and related intersection improvements, including historic brick preservation, new paving brick installation, and ADA-compliant pedestrian improvements. The City will utilize a best value selection process in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.65 through 153.73 and Section 153.693. The Contractor must comply with the Federal Prevailing Wage Rates on public improvements in Athens County as ascertained by the State of Ohio Department of Industrial Relations under the Davis-Bacon Act. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on August 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the intersection of Court Street and State Street in the City of Athens central business district. Statements of Qualifications and Proposals are due August 14, 2026 by 4:00 PM and shall be submitted to: Office of the Service-Safety Director 8 E.
