The City of Bismarck (City) is seeking cost proposals for Snow Removal for City-Owned Parking Lots and Sidewalks for the period of October 15, 2026 through May 15, 2029. This proposal covers a three-year period. The City reserves the right to award the contract based on the best overall cost for the City. The City also reserves the right to award a one-year contract or an automatically renewing contract for up to two additional one-year periods, at the fixed prices submitted in the contractor’s original bid. Sealed bids will be received in the office of the City Administrator, until 3:00 pm CT on Monday, August 31, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and reviewed at 4:00 pm CT on Monday, August 31, 2026. The sealed bid may be mailed to the City Administrator (PO Box 5503, Bismarck ND 58506-5503) or otherwise deposited with the City Administrator (221 North Fifth Street, 4th Floor, Bismarck ND 58501) and shall be sealed and endorsed: “Snow Removal for Parking Lots and Sidewalks” Name of the person, firm or corporation submitting the bidPhone contact of person submitting the bid. Bids must be submitted on blanks furnished by the City of Bismarck and in accordance with specifications and conditions contained therein. Copies of proposal blanks and specifications may be downloaded from the website or obtained from the Public Works Service Operations, 601 S 26th St, Bismarck ND 58504, or Gale Nicholson, or 701-355-1707 or 701-355-1700, option 3. All bidders are invited to be present at the opening of the proposals. In accordance with North Dakota state law, a separate envelope containing a current North Dakota contractor’s license and a certified check* or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid must be attached to the outside of the proposal/bid envelope and labeled “Bid Bond”. Checks or bonds of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned to them after making the award.*A certified check may be submitted in lieu of a bid bond if amount of check is less than $10,000. The successful Contractor(s) must provide a certificate of liability insurance and automobile insurance, prior to starting work, covering all activities within the scope of the contract performed by the Contractor. City of Bismarck shall be named as an additional insured and written on the policy for the duration of the work or service provided. Waiver of subrogation written or marked on the policy for the duration of the work or service provided.
