REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) SEVASTOPOL SCHOOL DISTRICT LIBRARY STRUCTURAL REPAIR PROJECT PERMANENT SHORING INSTALLATION Issue Date: June 23, 2026 Proposal Due Date: July 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Board Review and Selection: July 15, 2026 Project Start Date: As Soon As Possible Following Board Approval 1. INTRODUCTION The Sevastopol School District is requesting proposals from qualified engineers/contractors to complete structural repairs within the District library following a snow-load related structural event identified during the winter of 2026. Based upon recommendations provided by YA Engineering Services, the District intends to pursue Option 3 – Installation of Permanent Shoring beneath the existing deflected concrete beam. This option was identified as the least intrusive repair approach and is intended to provide long-term structural support while minimizing disruption to the facility. The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and related services necessary to complete the work. 2. PROJECT LOCATION Sevastopol School District 4550 State Highway 57 Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin 54235 3. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project consists of providing and installing a permanent structural support system beneath the existing deflected precast concrete beam located above the library entrance area. The work generally includes: • Verification of existing field conditions. • Review of engineer’s conceptual repair documents. • Provision of final structural design and stamped drawings by a Wisconsin licensed structural engineer, if required. • Installation of a permanent steel support post, frame, or engineered support system. • Construction of any required concrete footing or foundation system. • Coordination with District staff to minimize disruption to building operations. • Protection of existing finishes and adjacent building components. • Restoration of any finishes disturbed by the work. • Final cleanup and project closeout documentation. The conceptual repair recommendation identifies: • One permanent shoring post located near the beam midpoint. • Minimum support capacity of 15,000 pounds. • New reinforced concrete footing beneath the support location. • Existing roof planks and beam to remain in place. Contractors are responsible for reviewing all engineering documents and verifying existing conditions prior to submitting a proposal. 4.
