PURCHASING DIVISION Request for Proposals to Purchase the Fairfield East Community Center The City of Huntington is inviting entities to submit proposals for the Purchase of Real Estate known as the Fairfield East Community Center and associated property located at 2711 8th Avenue, Cabell County, Huntington, West Virginia. Full proposal information may be found The property is identified on tax map 21 and plot 34 in the Gideon magisterial district. The size of the property is reported to be 253’ X 153' or 13,414 square feet. This property is currently a community center and will be sold as is. The roof of the center, excluding the gym area, was replaced in 2025. A building assessment and appraisal are available within BidExpress. Proposals should include the name of the entity that will hold the title to the property, a purchase price, intended use for the property, and if applicable the number of jobs created. The purchasing entity should also include any other information that they believe to be pertinent to the puchase of the property. Bidders are invited to view the property by contacting Melinda Midkiff, Financial Analyst, by phone at 304.696.5540 x2106 or by email at midkiffm@huntingtonwv.gov and scheduling an appointment. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive or refuse to waive any technicalities at its discretion. Proposals may be submitted through BidExpress.com or by delivering a copy to the City Clerk’s Office, 800 5th Avenue Room 135, Huntington West Virginia, 25701 and shall be received until 10:00 AM local time on Thursday May 21st, 2026.
