THE TOWNSHIP OF GLOUCESTER, NEW JERSEY REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR COMMUNITY SOLAR DEVELOPERS TO ENABLE TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN AND RECEIVE ENERGY SAVINGS FROM REMOTELY-SITED COMMUNITY SOLAR PROJECTS Issued: Tuesday, June 10, 2025 Due: Wednesday, June 25, 2025 ISSUED BY: Township of Gloucester 1261 Chews Landing Rd., Laurel Springs, New Jersey 08021 TOWNSHIP OF GLOUCESTER COUNTY OF CAMDEN STATE OF NEW JERSEY NOTICE TO PROPOSERS REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR COMMUNITY SOLAR DEVELOPERS TO ENABLE TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN AND RECEIVE ENERGY SAVINGS FROM REMOTELY-SITED COMMUNITY SOLAR PROJECTS The Township of Gloucester, New Jersey (the “Township”) is seeking sealed proposals from developers of Board of Public Utilities (BPU)-approved community solar projects capable of providing Township residents access to community solar projects to achieve savings on their utility bill resulting from a remotely-sited BPU-approved solar project (the “Community Solar Program” or the “Program”). The Township is issuing this “Request for Proposals for Community Solar Developers to Enable Township Residents to Participate in and Receive Energy Savings from Remotely-Sited Solar Projects” (“RFP”) pursuant to the competitive contracting provisions of the Local Public Contracts Law, specifically, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.1 et seq. The Township anticipates selecting a BPU-approved community solar project developer (the “Selected Developer”) pursuant to this RFP to ensure that all Township residents interested in taking advantage of the Community Solar Program will be able to participate in the Program. The Township may issue a subsequent request for proposals if interest or demand by Township residents exceeds the capacity of the Selected Developer. The Township will assist the Selected Developer to promote the Program, including communicating with Township residents regarding the benefits of the Program, and hosting meeting(s) for Township residents with the Selected Developer. Pursuant to the provisions of the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law regarding competitive contracting under N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.1 et seq., sealed proposals will be received by the Township of Gloucester (“Township”), 1261 Chews Landing Rd., Laurel Springs, New Jersey 08021, in the Municipal Clerk’s Office, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 10:00 A.M.
