RFP - Fiber Optic Drop Installation Services

Description

The Vendor shall install fiber optic drops from the designated service point to the demarcation point on the customer's premise, complete and ready for service. The City will provide the network layout and the locations of all service points. The Vendor is responsible for the drop itself. Working directly with the customer, the Vendor determines where the drop will be installed to and how it will enter the premise. The path and entry point agreed with the property owner constitute the design for that drop; there is no separate City design for the Vendor to build to on that segment. North Valley Fiber is a City-owned open access fiber network that serves approximately 9,100 addresses. The City builds and maintains the physical infrastructure; independent Internet Service Providers deliver retail service to subscribers over that infrastructure.
